Constance “Jackie” Akemann 88, of Hewitt passed away at a local nursing home Friday, July 26, 2013. The family will receive visitors Monday, July 29, from 6-8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Jackie was born August 11, 1924 in Houston TX to Wesley and Wrena Gartman. She graduated from Breckinridge School of Nursing and worked in various nursing jobs. She later worked for Owen’s Illinois Glass Plant and retired with the company as plant nurse in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Leroy Akemann.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky Fulmer and husband Gloyce and Cherie Collins and husband Kenneth; son, David Akemann; brothers, Richard Gartman and wife Flora and Jon Gartman and wife Beverly; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
