Jack Reid

Jack Reid of Robinson, Texas passed away at his home on October 22, 2017 at the age of 90 years old. Jack was born in Waco, Texas on February 20, 1927 to Clarence and Laura Reid. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 pm on Thursday October 26 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home at 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, TX. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Friday October 27 at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas with Pastor Brandon Berry officiating.
Jack married Bobbie Smith in 1954 and had 3 children whom they raised in their life long home in Robinson. Jack retired from Owens Illinois after 35 years of service.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed but never forgotten. He loved spoiling his great grandchildren who were a blessing to him as he got older. Jack loved the outdoors and was the neighborhood “grandpa” who watched several generations of neighborhood children grow up.
Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, son and parents.
Jack is survived by his daughter Debra Pierce and husband Roger; daughter Pam Reich and husband Danny; Grandchildren, Cory Matoska, Billy Reid, Matthew Sapp and wife Carlie; Misty Shelton and husband Colter; Micah Oeschsle and husband Erich. Great grandchildren Corbin Shelton, Jackson and Emersyn Sapp and Noah Oeschle. His Brother, Larry “Baby” Reid and his wife Wanda; and his brother-in-law and life long friend Wayne Smith and his wife Connie.
