Hulda Frey

Hulda Ann Frey, 100, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. A rosary will be recited 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 24, at Church of the Visitation, in Westphalia. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the rosary at 11:00 a.m., at the church, with Father Edwin Kagoo as celebrant. Burial will follow at Saint Marys Cemetery, Westphalia.
Hulda was born October 23, 1915, the daughter of Hubert and Annie Kasberg. She married Louis A. Frey October 17, 1933, in the Church of the Visitation at Westphalia. In 1935, the family moved to west Texas, near Rowena. In 1947 they moved to Robinson, TX, near Waco. She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waco.
Hulda was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 20, 1976. She had one brother, L.B. Kasberg (deceased), who is survived by his wife Anna and their daughter Linda Waxman.
Hulda is survived by her three children, James (Jim) Frey and wife Ruth, of Waco; Bobby Frey and wife Judy of Dallas, and Betty Wassermann and husband Lloyd, of College Station; eleven grandchildren; twenty nine great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
