Hubert Z. Shannon III, 52, of Waco, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at a local hospital. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr.
Hubert was born Dec. 3, 1960 in Waco, to Hubert II and Jane Shannon. Hubert attended University High class of 1978. He was a master Leatherman, making belts, and wallets.
He was preceded in death by his father Hubert "Squab" Shannon passing away Oct. 2, 2010; many aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother Jane Shannon; sister Kelly Machen and husband, Bobby; niece, Shannon Machen; aunt, Grace Smith, and numerous cousins.
