Howard “Butch” Fasshauer, 57, of McGregor, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 16, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, at the funeral home.
Butch was born March 2, 1958, in Waco, to Howard and Margie Fasshauer. He earned his LVN degree in 1978 while working at West Community Hospital and then went to MCC and received his Associate Degree in Nursing, becoming a RN. Butch married Peggy Smith in 1982. Butch worked at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest for over 30 years. He was a hard worker and took great pride in his job. He loved to dance and listening to gospel music. Butch loved his family very much and always put them first in his life.
Butch was preceded in death by his father, Howard Fasshauer; his wife, Peggy Fasshauer; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Ruby Smith.
Butch is survived by his mother, Margie Fasshauer, of Robinson; daughter, Amber Hall of Hewitt; son, Jason Claridy and wife Kelly, of McGregor; sisters Judy Trevino and husband David, of Waco and Debbie Kunze and husband Glenn, of Waco; granddaughters, Alyssa Hall and Ashlynn Hall, of Hewitt; grandson, Colton Claridy, of McGregor; sister-in-law, Susan Terry, of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his second family, all his co-workers at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest.
