Howard Frazier Ellis, 84, of McGregor, TX, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on September 8, 2022.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 10 to 11 A.M. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr. Waco, TX 76706. A celebration of Frazier’s life will begin at 11 A.M. immediately following the visitation on Wednesday with Joe Manuel officiating.
Frazier was born on November 20, 1937 in Electra, TX to Clemmie Ann (Reeves) and Howard Farrel Ellis.
In high school, Frazier was athletic and held the Long Jump record for a number of years. Throughout his life he enjoyed football (especially the Dallas Cowboys), loved his chickens, dogs, horses, animals, and most of all, his family. If he wasn’t working, he would be on a horse - for pleasure, on a trail ride, at a rodeo, or working as a personal horse trainer. Some people would know him as the “Horse Whisperer.” He also liked planting and growing flowers as well as dancing with the love of his life, Faye.
Frazier married Evelyn Faye Lebkowsky on July 4, 1980.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Ellis; children, Teresa Manuel and husband, Joe, Deana Baker and husband, Brent, Larry Ellis and wife, Andrea, Ronda Zmeskal and husband, Thomas; sister, Sue Campbell and husband, Doyle; granddaughters, Kim Vela and husband, John and Shelia Cross and significant other, Josh; as well as many precious grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a number of nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his family, extended family, and many friends.
