Hortencia Aguilar

On Sunday August 29, 2021, Hortencia Mendoza Aguilar peacefully entered the arms of God and went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Awaiting her homecoming were her parents, Amado and Leobarda Mendoza; and two sisters, Theresa Medrano, Isabel Arriaga, Rosie Mena (Cousin). Also awaiting her were her four brothers, Panfilo Mendoza, Paul Mendoza, Leo Mendoza, Joe Mendoza.

A Visitation will be at 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. A celebration ceremony will be held at Oakwood Cemetery Friday, September 3 at 10 a.m. with burial following.

Hortencia was born October 9, 1936 in Falls County, Lott, Texas. She graduated from Rosebud High school class of 1954.

Hortencia is survived by her husband, Candelario Aguilar; daughter, Linda Aguilar; two sons, Gerald Aguilar and wife Janet of Dayton Ohio, Candelario Aguilar Jr and wife Connie Loa Aguilar of Hewitt, Texas; grandsons, Andrew, Nathaniel, and Eric; granddaughters, Misty, Felicia, Laura, Leobarda, Cynthia, Rebecca, Selena; great granddaughters, Selena, Tammarh, Tierrah, Gracie, Jasmine; great -great granddaughter, Mayala, Feliciana, Alannah; great grandsons, Joshua, Mathew, Brandon, Isaiah, Jose, Angel, Chris, Julien, Felipe, Alejandro, Alex; great-great grandson, Xabier; niece, Lois Snyder and husband John; nephews, Tony Mendoza and wife Velda, Alex Arriaga and wife Theresa, David Medrano and wife Yolanda, Robert Medrano, Ruben Arriaga.
