Hollee Muhl On the eve of December 20, 2014, after a going away party for her friend, Hollee reached up and took the Lord’s hand and went home to be with her grandparents. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, December 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Ave, Waco, with Father Joe Geleney officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9 – 10:00 a.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Pavelka Cemetery in Hallsburg.
To know Hollee was to love her. Hollee was born on August 29, 1981, in Bryan, Texas. She was the youngest child of Lynn and Betty (Pavelka) Brown. She has a sister, Honey, and a brother, Jason. On September 28, 2002, she married the love of her life, Kirk Muhl. Hollee and Kirk were both teachers at Lexington ISD. She became the principal at the Lexington Middle School, where she took the school to new heights, by loving students, parents and staff in an incomparable way.
Hollee graduated High School in Chilton, Texas and from Baylor University in 2003. She received her Masters of Education degree at Tarleton State University in 2007, and her Superintendent Certificate from Lamar University in 2014.
Hollee’s pride and joy are her four beautiful children: Kylee Marae, Kenzie Grace, Jordan Kirk, and little Kooper Lynn. Hollee had a heart of gold, always wanting to help someone in need. She once told her parents that if she turned out even a little bit like they hoped, her dream of making a difference, and the hard work she put into that, was all worthwhile.
Hollee was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruby and Charlie Pavelka and Conrad Brown.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Joseph Kirk Muhl; her children Kylee Marae, Kenzie Grace, Jordan Kirk, and Kooper Lynn; her parents Gary Lynn and Betty Brown of Chilton, Texas; her mother and father-in-law Jill Marie Hargrove Muhl and James Francis Muhl, Jr. of Waco; and her paternal Grandmother Venia Brown of Mart, Texas; her sister Honey Mynar and husband Leland, and their children Russell Battles and Hunter Holt; and her brother Jason Brown and wife Judy Brown and their children Kaitlynn and Jamie Brown; her brother – in- law Jimmy Muhl and wife Melinda Muhl and their children Jacob and Haley Muhl; and many cousins, and Lexington friends, who she dearly loved and who became like family.
Her family and many friends will never forget her beautiful smile, and the way her eyes would light up when you talked about her children.
God be with our precious angel.
There will be a Memorial Service at the First Baptist Church in Lexington at the Youth Activity Center (YAC) on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 6:00 p.m.
