Hirley Ray Wheeler, 75, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 20, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 6 - 8:00p.m., Thurs., May 19, at the funeral home.
Ray was born March 21, 1941, to Luther and Esta Garrett Wheeler in Midway, KY. He was one of 12 children.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Wheeler; his two sons, Kerry Wheeler, of Waco, and Richard Burns and wife Brenda of Marion, Iowa; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Shirley King of Lexington, KY, Sue Burkhard of Inverness, FL, and Iva Brown of Inverness, Fl.
