Hilario Sosa

Hilario (Easy Money) Sosa Jr., 72, of Waco, Texas passed away after a long illness on Friday April 16, 2021. He was born on August 29, 1948 in Calvert, Texas, to the late Hilario L Sosa Sr. and Juanita Lopez Sosa. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 22, with Rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Friday, April 23, at Sacred Heart Church, 2621 Bagby Ave, Waco, with the Very Rev. C. Benjamin Magnaye, as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Larry (as known to many) was a mentor to many and lived the simple life. He was a devoted family man and Jack of ALL trades. He worked many jobs but found his calling in heavy equipment. He accomplished his dream when he opened his own business in April of 2007 where he made lifelong friends while providing great service.

He met his wife Rosalinda of 53 years in Asa Texas. Besides his wife, Larry is survived by their four children, Ernestine “Tina” (Gilbert) Perez, Paul (Kerry) Sosa, Hilario Sosa III (Molly), and Monica Sosa (Chris Sandoval). Larry and Rosa are blessed with 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Larry is also survived by 4 sisters, Soledad (Igancio) Ibarra, Paula (Richard) Casarez, Mary (Richard) Martinez and Josephine (George) Mendoza.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters, Tony, Juan, Juanita, Eulalia and Dominga.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Salinas, Jose Valenzuela, Ricky McCrary, Joshua Chisholm, Alejandro Medina and Felix Suarez. Honorary Pallbearers are Steven Miramontez Jr and Gilberto Perez Jr.
