Herbert Clark Pirelo, U.S. Veteran, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the age of 88. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday August 5 at First Baptist Church of Waco, 500 Webster, Waco. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service starting at 9:30 am in the church parlor. The family welcomes you to stay after the service and join them for a reception.
He was born in Waco, on May 23, 1929 to Nunzio and Catherine Bivona Pirelo, Sicillian Immigrants.
Herbert is survived by his wife and love of his life, Helga Pirelo. They married in Germany while stationed in the army, 65 years ago. He also is survived by three daughters, Ruth Hankins, Mary Pirelo Howard, and Pat Dugan; two brothers, Crispino and Edward Pirelo, all of Waco; eight grandchildren, Dustin Bivona Pirrello, Raven Howard, Spencer Arellano, Chastity Wages, Melissa Reeves, Monica Chudej, Karen Freeto Rutherford, and Charles Connor; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Herbert served his country for 20 plus years, combined Army and retired Navy. He extended his service to his country by caring for Veterans for 35 years at the VA Hospital in Waco.
Mr. Pirelo was not only a Veteran, he was a Patriot!
