Helen Margurite Saulters went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rosemound Cemetery with Jim Daniels officiating. A short visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. before the service.
Helen was born in Waco, Texas to Ottie and Lois Lucas on October 30, 1936. After attending Waco schools she married Jim E. Saulters. She worked at several retail stores over the years, finally retiring from Walmart.
Her greatest joy was studying and reading her bible, going to church and spending time with her children. Jesus was her first love and her children were her second. You could count on her to be praying for everyone that had a need, especially those that needed to know the Lord. She was very bold about her faith. She wanted very little for herself and would give her last dollar to help a friend, family member or a Christian agency soliciting contributions. Her mailbox was always overflowing as proof of her generosity. She also enjoyed planting flowers and “trying” to grow vegetables. In the last year she spent many days watching the birds at the birdfeeder, while her little dog, Ellie, kept her company.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her parents, son, Jimmy Saulters, Jr., son-in-law, Robert Bohne, and sister, Melvena.
She is survived by her children, Pam Bohne, Vicki McDaniels (Ronnie), Terry Saulters (Tammy), Jimmy Dean Saulters, and Tammy Marek (Robert), eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many other loved ones.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Patsy Christy, her caregivers and Providence Place Hospice.
Mother, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.
