Hattie Eskew

Hattie Evelyn Bethke Eskew, 100, of Waco, passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Dr. Craig Klempnauer officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at a later time.
Hattie was born December 2, 1916, to Henry and Augusta Lockstedt Bethke, in Brazos County. She had seven brothers and sisters. Hattie married the love of her life, Wayburn Eugene Eskew on the 7th of November, 1958. She worked in the cotton mill to follow over 35 years as a seamstress at R.M. Crow Co.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husband Wayburn Eugene Eskew; her only child Maurice “Moe” Dunn; her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Hattie leaves to cherish her memory Janice Handley, Morris Dunn, Roxann Garcia, Manda Johnson, Ezell Scott, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be James, Brandon, Mark, Chantz, Travis, Taylor, and Caleb.
