Harry Shaeffer

Harry William Shaeffer, 76, of Waco, passed away at his home, Wednesday, November 20, 2013. The family will have a visitation at 9 am Saturday, November 23, with the service to follow at 10 am, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr. with Pastor Roy Marshall officiating. The family will have a private burial at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Harry was born June 25, 1937 in York County, Pennsylvania to Francis and Loretta Shaeffer. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sargent, after 20 years of dedicated service. He served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church Hewitt and longtime member of The Gideon’s International.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Julie Shaeffer.
He is survived by his loving wife Juanita; 9 children, Harry Jr., Tammie, Larry, Sheri, Michael, Billy, Gary, Jimmy and Scott; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Christine and brothers, Lionel and David.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that Bibles be given in his memory through Gideon’s International.
