H. F. Redding

H. F. “Punkin” Redding, 79, of Robinson passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Funeral services will be at 10 am, Saturday, January 9, at First Baptist Church of Robinson with Micheal Moore and Steve Abbe officiating. Interment will follow at Rosenthal Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, January 8 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.
Punkin was born January 19, 1936 to Hildred and Edna Redding in Rosenthal. He married Sherry Perry in Robinson on October 19, 1956. Punkin was a lifelong resident of the Rosenthal community and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Robinson. He served in numerous organizations and was President of many Boards of Directors. Some of those include, Robinson Saddle Club, Robinson Little League, Robinson School Board, Heart of Texas Electric, and Capital Farm Credit. Anyone that knows Punkin, knows his love of farming, camping and Dr. Pepper. Punkin had a special love for all of his dogs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Evelyn Brown.
Punkin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sherry; daughter, Tammy McKee and husband Randy; son, Mike Redding and wife Leslie; grandchildren, Derrek McKee and wife Angela, Matt McKee and wife Jessica, Lauren Wells and husband Luke, Cameron Redding and wife Meredith, Dylan Redding and wife Georgia, and Kallie Redding; great-grandchildren, Ava, Connor, Ella, and Spencer McKee, plus one Redding on the way; sister, Dorothy Gross; mother-in-law, Bernice Perry; sister-in-law, Judy Atkinson and husband Bobby; brothers-in-law, Sammy Perry and wife Linda, Ronnie Perry and wife Sharon; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
