Gloria Jean Schilling, 73, of Robinson, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 15, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastors Troy Cobb and Robby Kirby officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, at the funeral home.
Gloria was born May 11, 1943, in Waco, TX, to Roy and Rosella Tindell. She married John Henry Schilling August 19, 1961. Soon after, they moved to Germany where John was stationed in the military. Glory loved traveling to different countries during their time there. She was a long time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Riesel. She worked as a lab technician at various clinics around Waco. She enjoyed watching birds, flowers and playing bingo. Most of all, Gloria loved her husband and her family.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Roy Tindell; brother, Billy Tindell; sisters, Martha Eaton, Sally Dunn and brother-in-law, Maurice Dunn.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Henry Schilling; son, Scott Ray Schilling and Theresa Estrada; and daughter, Amy Rose Schilling; mother, Rosella Tindell; siblings Jerry Tindell and wife Nancy; Roy Lee Tindell and wife Sandra; Patsy Buckner and husband Richard; Johnny Tindell and wife Barbara, Cathy Beltran and husband Abraham, and Vivian Suitt and husband Tom; sister-in-law Nora Tindell; brother-in-law Billy Jack Eaton; grandchildren Cavin Scott Schilling, Trinity BreAnne Schilling, Aria Rae Schilling, Isabela Estrada, Hannah Khari Schilling, Mikel Pierce Schilling, Abigail Tia-Rose Schilling; and one great-grandchild, Lyra Schilling. Gloria is also survived by her best friend Jan Haak, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Connie Busby for the wonderful care given to Gloria, along with Scott and White Hospice; Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center 4th floor nurses and staff; Providence Pulmonary Rehab, especially Michael Harvey and her lunch bunch buddies. We are grateful to each and every one of you for making a difference in Gloria’s life.
