Gloria Diane Cowan, age 79, of Waco, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Stephen Oates Jr. officiating.
Gloria was born October 19, 1943, to Ferguson Russell and Pearl (Dobson) Denney in Athens, Georgia. She worked at the Veterans Affairs Regional office for many years. Gloria loved watching birds, planting gardens, especially rose bushes, and showing large breed dogs.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Kelly Cowan of Hewitt, Texas; Derek Cowan and wife Tracy of Hewitt, Texas; granddaughters, Hailey Cowan-Brennan and husband Jake of China Spring, Texas, Kaelyn Cowan of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Riley Cowan of Corpus Christi, Texas.
