Gladys Lucille Wilson, 97, of Waco, passed peacefully Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10am Sat., February 24 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Chaplain Larry Holden officiating, and Phyllis Gamble assisting. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Friday, Feb. 23, at the funeral home.
Gladys was born June 7, 1920 to Walter and Katy Rancher. She enjoyed music, being with family and friends, gardening and weekend traveling adventures. Gladys was a big jokester who enjoyed country dancing and waltzing. She married Charles Wilson in 1958 and they enjoyed many years together before his passing in 2005. She was a machine operator at General Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilson; two sons, Ernest Henderson and Louis Wilson; brothers Randall Rancher, Leroy Rancher and Carl Rancher; and sisters, Pearl Peppers and Lola Peppers.
Gladys is survived by her sons Larry Dean Henderson and wife Barbara, and David Wilson; daughter, Wanda Fay Ledbetter; grandchildren, Kim Lawson, Chad Ledbetter, Jason Henderson, Melissa Henderson, Peter Henderson, and Jimmy Ledbetter, six great- grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.
