Gladys Stone

Gladys Mary Stone, 92, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 13 at Waco Memorial Park, 6623 I-35, Waco, with Drew Ritchie officiating. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco.

Gladys was born October 15, 1929 to Oswald H. and Bertha Ann (Feller) Pursche in Falls County, Texas. She married Harold “Rudy” Stone on October 9, 1946. Gladys was a long time Waco resident until she moved to Clifton in 2013. She was a member of Clifton Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and studying her bible. Her favorite thing was playing games with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Andrew Behringer; husband, Rudy Stone; sister, Ollie Haverkamp; brothers, Ernest Pursche, Arnold Pursche, Louis Pursche, and Johnny Pursche.

Gladys is survived by her son, Randy Stone and wife Bobbie; daughter, Jennie Oldham and husband David; grandchildren, Pennie Nunan and husband Hoke, Randy Stone and wife Kelly Jo, Steven Stone, Kaley Daniel and husband Justin, Chad Oldham and wife Lacy, Chase Oldham and Tara Puig; great-grandchildren, Ainslee Stone, Cadence Stone, Addison Stone, Caylleb Stone, Christian Stone, Penny Stone, Paxton Daniel, Rennick Daniel, Truett Oldham; great-great granddaughter, Carlee Stone; brother, Frank Pursche; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
