Gladys Mae Johnson born: October 4, 1928 in Weiser, Idaho: passed: April 11, 2021, into the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, for eternity.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, confidant, partner and best friend, Thomas Melton Johnson, Sr. They enjoyed their time together in the peaceful, quiet town of Hewitt, Texas.
In their earlier years they enjoyed boating with their children and their friends, later with their children's spouses and their children. They spent many a weekend on the area Lakes motor boating with family members and friends. Gladys was a housewife who loved to cook, and the home was always spotless. We could hear her occasionally utter: "Dirt, dirt, dirt everywhere!" She was very proud of her home.
She is also survived by her three children: Thomas M. Johnson, Jr., Georgia Mae Owen, and Michael R. Johnson. Whom all will miss the comforting way that she approached each of us after she sensed that one of us were troubled with something that had been difficult for them and she would wait until the proper time to move forward with her comforting way that she had, like magic. Gladys also leaves behind her grandsons that were very precious to her: Nathan Owen, Zachary Owen, and Matthew Owen; as well as her two very dear granddaughters: Britney and Carra. Probably the last surviving part of Mom's latter years is Bubba, the ranch security director and most favored by Mom, and she most favored by him. He's a shnauzapoo, about one foot tall and bulletproof, each had found a place in their hearts for the other.
As this family continues through our lives, we will never forget Wife and Mother! We love you Mom! REST IN PEACE!
