Georgia Jones

Georgia Jones, 89, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, with her grandson, the Rev. Richard Hollingsworth officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 10, at Pecan Grove Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.

Georgia was born August 23, 1926, in Irene, TX, Hill County, to George and Martha Cagle. She married Willie Frederick Jones, January 25, 1947 and spent her life as a homemaker. Willie preceded her in death in July 2014. Georgia was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Waco, where she taught the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class for many years.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Jones; son, Gaylon Neal Jones; granddaughter-in-law, Bridgette Hollingsworth; and brother Ralph Bryant.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Lynette Hollingsworth and husband Roy; son, Larry Reginald Jones; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Willie James Jones, Justin Hollingsworth, Richard Morgan, Ralph Kruppa, Tony Brown, and Blake Jenkins.
