George Vasquez

George O. Vasquez, 92, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waco, with Rev. Benjamin Magnaye as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 9, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
George was born April 21, 1924, to Louis and Juanita Vasquez, in Penelope, TX. He served in the US Army during World War II as an anti-aircraft gunner. He worked in the auto body trade beginning in 1947, eventually owning Vasquez Body Shop in Waco.
George was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers.
George is survived by his children Juanita Huncherick and husband Joe, Domingo Vasquez and wife Kim, Antonio Vasquez and wife Debbie, George Vasquez, Jr, and Ian Vasquez; former wife, Nellie Vasquez; three brothers; three sisters; 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
