George Monroe Moeller, 78, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at his home in Otto, Texas. A visitation will be held at 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 22, at Pecan Grove. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at Pecan Grove in Robinson, with Pastor Joe Fairchild officiating followed by burial at Waco Memorial Cemetery.
George was born on June 17, 1935 in Buckholts, Texas to Frank and Viola (Haas) Moeller. He moved to Waco and attended Waco Tech. He worked at L.L. Sams and Sons for 42 years. After retirement he enjoyed working on his farm buying and selling Santa Gertrudis cattle. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and granddad, and a friend to everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
George is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, J.E. "Butch" and wife, Robin, of LaVernia, Texas; daughters, Karen McCall of Hewitt and Missy Gimble and husband, Brent, of Tyler; step-children, Debra Jones and Bobbie Mertellia of Vineland, New Jersey, Tami Bolton and husband, Gerald, of Hubbard, James Jones and wife, Jennifer, of Whitney, and Chad Hanzlicek and wife, Jodee, of Beaumont; four brothers, Arthur, Bill, Homer, and Dick Moeller; sisters-in-law; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Benny Urban and all of the nurses and staff with hospice care.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Heaven Bound Cowboy Church, Hwy. 84 & 31 Waco Axtell area.
