George Mendoza

George Mendoza, Jr, 70, of Waco, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with Pastor Frank Alvarado officiating. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.
George was born May 25, 1946, to George Sr, and Marcela Garcia Mendoza, in Waco, TX. He worked at Columbus Ave. Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one sister.
George is survived by his daughter, Erinda Chavez and her husband Eleazar Chavez; his sisters, Tomasa Galindo and Eleanor Lopez; his grandchildren, Moises Chavez, Dominique Chavez, and Eleazar Chavez, Jr.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
