Gayle McHargue

Gayle H. (“Mac”) McHargue, 77, passed away Sunday, November 26th, in McGregor. A Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. with Bro. Kenneth Hodges officiating.


Mac was born September 7, 1940, in Coryell County to Harmon and Jimmie McHargue. He attended University High School in Waco, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958-1962. He worked in the oil industry in Saudi Arabia and Libya, then spent a long, successful career at M&M Mars, retiring in 1997. Mac was an avid reader, loved to spend time in his pecan grove, and had a life-long passion for hunting and fishing.



He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Scott McHargue.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna of 42 years, their five adult children, three grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. His mother Jimmie Hewlett McHargue, sisters Iris O’Leary, Judy Gray and brother-in-law Marion, as well as aunts, numerous cousins, and nieces and nephews.
