Gabby Sophia Deas gloriously but unexpectedly went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. A visitation will be offered at Pecan Grove Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 9th from 6-8pm. A celebration of life will be at FBC Robinson on Saturday, Feb. 10th at 11:00am. Gabby turned 20 on Jan. 12th and celebrated what would be her last birthday with a Dallas Cowboy birthday party surrounded by close friends at the church she loved so dearly. Gabby will forever be remembered as an over-the-top fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. “Roll Tide” was a phrase that could be heard often when Gabby was present, especially during football season.
Gabby is survived by her loving dad Richard Deas, her mother Jeanette Fernandez, Aunts Tiane Bryan and husband Todd, Tina Scott and Rusty Veasey, Tara Crawford and husband Tim, Uncle Roy Deas and Debbie Harmon, and numerous cousins. We also want to thank her special friend Tanya Davis who devoted a lot of her time to Gabby on a daily basis. Gabby is also survived by good friends Chris and Starla Johnson along with Desiree and Haley Johnson.
Gabby left a void at FBC Robinson that will be impossible to fill. Gabby’s car could be seen at the church almost every day. She was known to be at the church every Sunday morning by 6:30am to unlock the doors and make the coffee. Gabby was a member of the tech team at FBC Robinson and invaluable to the church praise team on Sunday mornings. She was also a member of the FBC Robinson choir and a helper with the IGNITE Kids on Wednesdays.
Gabby graduated from Robinson High School with the class of 2022. She attended Robinson from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Her heart was half crimson red and half Rocket blue. Gabby loved all her teachers at Robinson which she exhibited mostly by giving them nicknames. She was especially proud to be a member of Robinson High School choir.
Gabby will forever and ever be loved and missed by the members of FBC Robinson. In lieu of flowers, the Gabby Deas Memorial Scholarship has been created in order to bless future choir students at Robinson High School. Please send memorials to:
