Frieda Nell (Goldman) Scarborough, 84, of Robinson, passed away Saturday December 15, 2018. Visitation with the family is from 2 PM - 4 PM Friday, December 21, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. A private service will be held at a later date.
Frieda was born July 18, 1934 to August and Eddie Ruth ( Kelley) Goldman, and grew up in the China Spring area. She was Baptist in faith. She married John T. Scarborough on June 20, 1953 in Rock Creek Baptist Church, and they made their home in Robinson. Both were avid gardeners, their home and yard always filled with plants and flowers. Their pantry was always filled with fresh fruits and vegetables, and they had a shared joy of painting ceramics.
The delight of her life was her three granddaughters. She was a young at heart grandmother who enjoyed keeping up with them on the latest fashion in clothes, jewelry, and music. She cherished being a part of their lives. Christmas was always special as family gathered at her home.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sherry Ann Scarborough; and brother; James Goldman and wife Lil.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Gordon Scarborough and wife Malissa, of Gatesville, Glen Scarborough and wife Donna, of Robinson; granddaughters, Rebekah Pope and husband Justin, of Austin, Ann-Marie Scarborough, of Austin, Lauren Scarborough, of College Station; great-grandchildren, Bryson and McKenzie Pope, of Austin, and brother Douglas Goldman and wife Janie, of Abilene.
