Freddie Dean Johnson Sr., 72, of Waco, passed away, Thursday, February 13, 2014. A graveside service will be 11:30 am, Monday, February 17, 2014 at Rosemound Cemetery with Pastor David Cozart officiating. The family will receive visitors Sunday, February 16, from 4-6 pm, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Freddie was born, April 9, 1941 in Waco, TX, to Clifford and Evelyn Johnson. He attended Connally Schools and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from A.C. Parsons Drywall in 1988, then he and his wife ran Cupp's Drive Inn since 1988. He enjoyed fishing, racing, and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Betty Jo Woodward and Doyle Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Joyce “Eggebrecht” Johnson; children, Freddie Johnson Jr. and wife Milissa and Sherry Caughenbaugh and husband David; step-son, Ronald Crow; step-daughter, Judy Foster; siblings, Fritz Johnson, Larry Johnson and Janice Unger; 5 grandkids and 1 great-grandkid.
