On November 16, 2015, Frankie Moseley climbed his last pole to Heaven.
Born February 9, 1945, to Adam Seth and Lillie Pearl Moseley from Troy, Texas; Frankie attended school in Troy, where he enjoyed playing football for the Trojans.
One magical night, Frankie and a close friend went bowling in Temple, where he met his lifelong love, Sandra Lynette Raesz. Soon after, they were married and built their life together in Rosenthal, Texas where they raised their four children.
Frankie was employed with AT&T. He was known as ‘the telephone man’; if it needed fixing he was the one to call! He made many friends during this time, too many to count. He worked hard to support his family; however, this never stopped him from going to their school events or helping coach the kid’s sports teams. After 37 years of dedication, he retired.
After retirement, Frankie and Sandra enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. They cherished every moment. Frankie continued these visits after Sandra passed in 2011. He remained very active with his 11 grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them in their activities, whither it was sports, plays, Girl Scouts or academic awards at school, he was there. He looked forward to the fishing and camping trips with the ‘boys’, the ‘girls’ and the whole family.
Frankie also put time into making sure the Lorena Cemetery was looked after. You could find him cleaning up the fallen tree limbs, watering the trees the Boy Scouts planted, or placing baseballs he found by a nearby field on the children’s grave site.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Lynette, and his parents; Adam Seth Moseley and Lillie Moseley-O’Neil.
Frankie is survived by his daughter, Sheila Lina and husband, Ricky of Lorena; son, James Moseley and wife, Sondra of Chalk Bluff; daughter, Susan Surmick and husband, Chad of Santa Rosa CA; daughter, Sharon Keeland and husband, Jeff of Lorena. And 11 Grandchildren: Brandon, Briana, Bradley, and Benjamin Lina; Matthew and Rebekah Moseley; Amelia and Seth Surmick; and Lori, Grace and Amy Keeland. Sisters: Mae Tippit and Husband, Joe, of Dime Box; Mary Ann Ensor and husband, Arlon of Covington; and close friend Gayle Blume of Moody. We Love You dearly! Thank for being his friend and companion, these last few years.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 22nd at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson from 6-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Robinson on Monday, November 23rd, at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Lorena Cemetery.
