Frances Geraldine Cockrell, 85, peacefully went to her Lord and Savior Monday morning, June 30, 2014. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Pecan Grove F. H. with Dr. Gerald McKelroy officiating. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Pecan Grove F.H. 3124 Robinson Dr.
Geraldine was born October 1, 1928, to James and Laura McCoy. She graduated from Marlin High School in 1946. On Nov. 13, 1946 she married Thomas Cockrell in Waco, Texas. They made their home in Waco. She was a member of Greater Waco Baptist Church. She worked for many years for Central Produce Company.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and daughter, Ellouise. Also preceding her were her brother, Dan McCoy, a sister Darlene Helton and a grandson, Jeff Cockrell. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Tucker of Clifton; daughter Patsy Robison and husband, Lester of Robinson; son Danny Cockrell and wife Shelly of Waco; stepson Tommy Cockrell and wife Janice of Mart and stepson Rick Cockrell and wife Darlene of Speegleville. She was MeMaw to 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers gifts may be given to the Greater Waco Baptist Church
