Frances Canon

Frances Canon, 73, of Lorena, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Mississippi while traveling. Funeral services will be 10 am, Friday, March 25, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., with Dr. Cary Killough officiating. Interment will follow at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 pm Thursday, March 24 at the funeral home.
Frances was born July 25, 1942 in Brady, Texas to John and Daisy (Flemming) Behrens. She married Bill Canon December 27, 1963 in Voca, Texas. She spent many years as a school teacher. She loved antiquing and traveling, especially with Bill. Her greatest joy was her grandkids, which know her only as Megga!
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Frances is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill; their children, Dianne Harris and husband, Jeff, Lisa Brashier and husband, Roy, Brad Canon and wife, Allison; grandchildren, Amanda and Justin Harris, Zoe and Remi Brashier, Brooke and Emily Canon; sister, Maxine Naylor; brother, Earl Behrens; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to McLennan County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship Fund at WMRTA, PO Box 21566, Waco, Texas 76702, Attn: Barbara Belk, Scholarship Fund. Please make note in memo line – In memory of Frances Canon.
