Forest B. Redding passed away on September 19, 2013 at his home in Robinson, TX. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Young Blood Memorial Presbyterian Church, at 10:00 am with Teddy Robles officiating, burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Forest Barnard Redding was born in Waco, TX on Sunday, November 26, 1939, to Rogers Charles & Pauline Hague Redding. He lived in Robinson, TX, all his life attending Robinson & Lorena schools.
He was a member at Youngblood Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge (Harring Lodge 1224 AF & AM).
He married Sarah (Sally) Burch on August 22, 1958 in Robinson, TX. Forest worked for Holsum Bread Co. before starting his driving career with Youngblood's Chicken & Kraftcor. He retired from Central Freight Lines, Inc. as a driver after 26 years of service. He then worked at Central TX Corrugated, Inc. for a number of years. He owned & operated Forest Redding Sand & Gravel since 1988.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rogers & Pauline Redding; mother & father-in-Law, Cecil & Sam Burch; step brother, John Cleal; niece, Catherine Redding & brother-in-law, Frank Lawson; sisters-in-law, Kathy Burch, Wanda Teague, Louise Willis & husband, Woodrow; Pauline (Polly) Thurmond & her husband, Harry.
Survived by: wife, Sarah (Sally) Redding; sons, Dan Willis & wife, Peggi, of Tabor, IA; Rogers C. Redding of Robinson, daughter, Lisa Rieger & husband, Kenneth, of Ross. Grandchildren, Jennifer Hammond & husband, Joe, of Bellevue, NE; Chris Polito & wife, Nichole, of Omaha, NE; Steve Willis & wife, Allison, of Omaha, NE; Jessica Reuss & husband, Bryan of Orlando, FL; Cori Botts & husband, Aaron, of Tabor, IA; Lindsay Cosimano & husband, Cory of Omaha, NE; Molly Stephens & husband, Anthony, of Crescent, IA; and Chisum & Sonora Rieger of Ross. Great-Grandchildren – Noah, Abby, Emme & Maddie Hammond, Brianna, Braelyn & Breylee Botts, Gus Polito, and Cannon Willis Stephens. Sister, Cynthia Lawson of Robinson; brother, Neil H.Redding & wife, Marsha, of Houston, TX; brothers-in-law, Charles Burch; Foster Burch & wife, Dorothy, all of Waco. Sister-in-law, Judy Cleal of Waco. Many nieces, nephews & other extended family. Forest will be missed by many as he was always a friend to all.
