Faye Edge of Austin, Texas passed away on August 9, 2022. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Faye will be in state on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Faye was 90 years old and born on August 15, 1931, in Prairie Hill Texas to her father Elzie Aldridge and mother Letha Mae Studdard (Aldridge). She married Sterling E Edge on April 3, 1948 and was married for fifty-five years. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church before moving to Austin, Texas in 2014. She attended schools in Waco, Texas and attended McLennan Community College where she studied business courses. She was an accountant and payroll clerk.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, five brothers, and one grandson, Eric J. Kickel.
She is survived by two daughters, Cathy Burns and husband Gus of Austin, Texas, and Brenda Slagel of Waco, Texas. (Michael, her late husband, passed away March 3, 2017.) One son, Stan Edge and wife Prapha of Austin, Texas. Six grandchildren, Kimberly Hawkins and husband, Scott of Hutto, Texas, Christina Franklin and husband, Korie of Liberty Hill, Texas. Kannika Martinez and husband Oscar, Steven Edge of Austin, Texas, David Walker, and Carlos Garcia of Waco, Texas; Fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Along with several nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, card games, dominoes, and crossword puzzles. Our mom was loving, caring, kind-hearted and thoughtful. Always went out of her way to help and be there for you.
Pallbearers are Korie Franklin, Nathaniel Mendieta, Scott Hawkins, Steven Edge, Carlos Garcia, and Jim Stoddard.
