Fae Irene Gilbreath, 94, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017. Funeral Services will be 10am Wednesday Feb. 8 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Pastor Brooks Kimmy officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 5-7pm Tues. Feb 7th at the funeral home.
Fae was born March 1, 1922 in Bison, OK to Ray and Eva Stotts. She married Harmon Gilbreath in Oklahoma City on July 5, 1941 and they moved to Waco so Harmon could attend Baylor University. Harmon passed away Sept. 10, 1994; after his death, Fae moved to Robinson where she was very active in the community. She was a member of the Praying Hands Class at First Baptist Church in Robinson, a secretary of Robinson Senior Center, treasurer of the Robinson Extension Homemakers Club, a member of the Golden Age Club, and Precious Pearls. Fae enjoyed crochet, playing cards, and dominoes. She loved watching the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and the Mavericks basketball team.
Fae is preceded in death by her four sisters, Martha Cox, Ruth Maddox, Roselle Bourne, Geraldine Line; and three brothers, Hubert, Clarence, and Curtis Stotts.
She is survived by her son, Ray Gilbreath and wife Janice of Robinson; brother, Carl Stotts of Wichita, Kansas; grandson, Wesley Gilbreath and wife Courtney of Robinson; seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
