Eva Roberta Stodghill, 70, of Chilton, passed away November 14, 2021. Visitation services will be 6 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N Robinson Dr., Waco.
Eva was born January 23, 1951 to Owen Elliott and Margaret (Day) Stodghill in Waco, Texas. She was a caregiver for more than 50 years, always taking care of others. Eva enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her rose bushes, watching the hummingbirds, and playing dominos with her family, especially her grandbaby, Angelo, who was her favorite partner. She loved cooking for her family and going riding with the love of her life, Lupe Ortiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Owen Stodghill; sister, Betty Toya.
Eva is survived by her husband, Lupe Ortiz; children, Cathy Neumann and Dale Rainey, Janie Hunter, Jason Blevins, Robert Lewellen and wife Misty, Timothy Lewellen, Kimberly Watson and husband Brian; grandchildren, BriAnn and Lewis, I’Liea and James, Latasha, Maggie, Brandon, Ashley, Alyssa, Kendall, Cross, Eli, Destanie, Robert Jr., Angelo, DeWayne, Jaxton, Donald, MacKenzie, Dominic; eight great-grandchildren plus two on the way; sister, Martha Terry; brothers, Beryl Stodghill and wife Linda, David Stodghill, Ronnie Stodghill; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to say thank you to Community Healthcare of Texas – Providence Hospice, her nurses, Heather RN and Judy CNA, and the hospice unit for all their kindness and compassion during Eva’s illness.
