Eugene Hogg

Eugene “Gene” Hogg, 80, of Rosebud passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday April 29, 2015 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco with Pastor Oscar Smart officiating.
Gene was born in Falls County, TX on April 26, 1934 to loving parents Jim Hogg and Willie Jackson. June 5, 1954 he married Glenda Solomon. Gene was a dedicated heavy equipment operator for McLennan County for 20 years. Gene enjoyed attending horse shows and rodeos. He was the owner of the Jiffy Snack Café in Robinson for many years. He was known for his Cedar Spring tomatoes.
He was preceded in death by His parents; brothers, C.D. Hogg, Tabby Hogg and Jack Hogg; sister Louise Jordan.
Gene is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glenda; daughter, Debi Moran and husband Mark of Austin; son, David Hogg and fiancé Kay Koester of Marlin; loyal companion Luke, his dog; brothers, J.W. Hogg, “T” Hogg, Bobby Hogg, and Billy Ray Hogg; as well as numerous friends.
