Eric “Chore” Torres Salazar, 55, of Waco, passed away Monday July 3, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Friday July 7 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, with Deacon Jessie C. Garza as celebrant. A rosary will be recited at 6pm Thursday July 6, with visitation to follow until 8pm at the funeral home.
Eric was born July 21, 1961 to Tim D. and Alice Salazar in Slaton, Texas. He was a protector of all, telling everyone “Gatcho Bad”. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Texas Tech, always wanting the latest updates. He especially loved his baby, his black truck named “El Negro”. His favorite thing of all though, was spending time with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Tim D. Salazar, and Alice T. Salazar; brothers, Noel T. Salazar and Victor T. Salazar; and nephew, Tim Anthony Flores.
Eric is survived by his children, Yvonne Flores Salazar, Erica Salazar Perez and husband Edward, Eric Noel Salazar and wife Michelle, Rebecca Salazar and husband Raul, Rolando Salazar, and Myrannda Salazar; sisters, Corina S. Cabriales and husband Geronimo, and Grace Salazar and husband Ramon Trevino; brother, Sundy Raymond T. Salazar and wife Alice; 15 grandchildren; girlfriend and partner, Toni Martinez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
