Enelda Elizabeth Niles, 85, went to join her late husband from her earthly home to her heavenly home, on May 18, 2013. Her celebration services will be at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, with burial service following at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 21st from 6 to 8 p.m.
Enelda was born in Hillsboro, on March 25, 1928, but spent her childhood and youth in Corsicana. She married her childhood sweetheart and spent most of the next 66 years with him in Waco. She was a devoted mother of four children active in church and the Girl Scouts. She also supported her family financially by working at Graham Embroidery for 20 years.
If you ever came to her home at dinner time, you would always be greeted with a smile, a cheerful message, and a hot, delicious meal. Enelda, affectionately known as Mamaw, will always be remembered for her joy, her laughter, her hospitality, her devotion to family and her love for her Lord and Savior. Enelda was a covenant friend to many, especially the "Rowdy Ruth" Sunday school class of Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Henry Niles; son, Norman Timothy Niles; son-in-law, Ross Neal Rogers; parents, Ernest and Inez "Ann" Mitchell Jones; brother, Morris Milton Jones; and sister, Joyce Ernestine Armstrong.
Enelda is survived by her daughters, Jamie Elizabeth Baker and husband, James Michael of Lakeside, Debra Jone Golden and husband, David of Lorena; son, Ken Morgan Niles and wife, Candy of Baytown; daughter-in-law, Marla Niles ten grandchildren and their loving spouses; 25 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; admiring nieces and nephews, and several covenant friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church Homebound Ministry.
