Elva Joyce Ferrell

Elva Joyce Ferrell, 88, of Waco, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 25 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N Robinson Dr., with Dan Manuel officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Joyce was born July 12, 1933 to David and Jesse (Brown) Hudson in Thornton, Texas. She married Wyndell M. Ferrell, Sr. Joyce worked as a food service manager with Waco ISD for many years, until her retirement. She also spent time as a Mary Kay Consultant. Joyce was a long time member of New Road Church of Christ, serving as a volunteer in the food pantry and clothes closet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, David Sims; sister, Mareta Hudson Alford; brothers, Gordon Hudson, Billy Hudson, and Louis Hudson.

Joyce is survived by her son Wyndell M. Ferrell II; daughter, Debbie Sims and husband Rich; daughter, Lisa Easterwood and husband Rodney; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Nell Stech and husband Bob; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
