Ellen Jo’ Ann Lessman 77, of Marlin, entered into eternal rest with the Lord, Sunday, May 18, 2014 in the presence of her family. Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Perry United Methodist Church, 193 County Rd 127, Riesel TX, 76682 with Rev. Lynn Willhit and Rev. Pat Chaney officiating. Burial will follow at Perry United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors, Wednesday, May 21, 2014, from 6-8 pm at Pecan Grove Funeral Home 3124 Robinson Dr.
Ellen Jo was born, April 1, 1937 in Marlin, to Herbert F. and Esther Johanna Lessman. She was the first born of four children and was a lifelong educator and school teacher. She loved nurturing her plants and her loyal dog and companion, Beethoven.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dwight H. Lessman.
She is survived by her dog, Beethoven; brothers, Garland Herbert Lessman and Dean Lessman and wife, Sherri; four nephews and three nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Perry Methodist Church Building Fund, 193 County Rd 127, Riesel TX, 76682.
