Elizabeth “Jane” Miracle, 74, of Eddy, Texas passed away on January 9, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, at Eddy Cemetery.
Jane was born November 16, 1947 to John and Betty (Rueter) Crawshaw in Topeka, Kansas. At a very young age, the family moved to Texas and owned and operated a dairy farm in West, Texas. She attended West High School graduating in Class of 1966. She was a cheerleader, Vice President of Student Council and a member of the girls’ basketball team that competed for the state title in Austin, Texas. After graduation, Jane married Donald Ray Odle on March 19, 1965. They had two children together; daughter, Tammy Rebecca Odle Yakesch; and son, Jeffrey Don Odle. In February 1974, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joe Robert “Bob” Miracle, a native of Eddy, Texas and in 1977 they purchased a grocery store and operated Miracle Food Store in Eddy for 19 years and Miracle Minimax in Moody for three years. They retired from the grocery store business in 1996. Jane loved to bowl and was a part time employee at Action World Bowl Center for 2-3 years. She was a member of the Elks Lodge, Drove 200 in Temple, Texas. She was a dedicated and compassionate EMT with the Volunteer Bruceville-Eddy Ambulance Service for many years. She was also involved in BBQ cook-offs, and enjoyed helping and supporting her husband, Bob, for many years in the Mayfest Cook-off in Bruceville-Eddy and competed in numerous cook-offs from 1983 to 2005 and even received a special invitation to the Jack Daniels' Cook-off in Tennessee. Jane also loved camping and fishing with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, in 2005.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Tammy Odle Yakesch and fiancé, Daniel Sehon of Eddy; son, Jeff Odle and wife Melissa of Eddy; grandchildren, Rebecca Wright and husband Greg; Hunter Odle and wife Haley; Garrett Odle; Megan Odle; great-grandson, Landon Lee Wright; sister, Susan Jones and husband Ken; brothers, Bill Crawshaw and wife Leigh, George Crawshaw and wife Blondie; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The meaning of the name “Jane” is "God’s gracious gift", and as a devoted wife and mother she was a beautiful, gracious gift and deeply loved by her family who will miss her terribly and she will never be forgotten.
