Elizabeth Bray

February 19, 1949 — July 8, 2023

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Bray, 74, of Golinda, TX entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 9:06pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, July 17, at Golinda Baptist Church, 7140 Golinda Drive (Highway 77), Lorena, TX 76655. A reception will be held immediately following in the fellowship hall.
Beth was a child of God and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was born on February 19, 1949 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Ted and Juanita Waggoner. She graduated from high school in Eunice, New Mexico and went on to marry the love of her life, Bob Bray of Jal, New Mexico. Although they were from rival towns, their love persevered for over 51 years. During that time they took on many adventures, living in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico while raising their two children, Jeff and Robin. As empty nesters, Bob and Beth settled in Seguin, TX for 27 years until relocating to Golinda, TX in 2022 where the Bray family has roots going back over 100+ years.
Beth was known as being kind and generous. She was always willing to give a helping hand and an empathetic ear. She loved her family with great passion and often shared how proud she was of her kids and grandkids whether you wanted to hear it or not. She was a loyal friend and loving wife. Words cannot express the void that her departure from this life creates, but knowing that she is whole and free from illness with our heavenly Father brings comfort and peace to those who loved her.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Wanda Ross and Ernie Waggoner; Brother-in-Law Frankie Lee Ross and nephew Frankie Lee Ross, Jr.
She is survived by brother Freddie Waggoner of Eunice, NM; beloved husband Bob Bray; children Jeff (Kelly) Bray of Bosqueville, TX and Robin (Bill) Wood of Allen, TX; grandchildren Brandon Bray of Golinda, TX, Riley Bray and Jaxson Bray of Bosqueville, TX, Ashlyn Wood and Alyssa Wood of Allen, TX; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
For those that feel led to honor Beth’s memory, the family graciously accepts donations on her behalf to Golinda Baptist Church or flowers may be delivered to Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
