Eleanor Walker, 90, of Robinson, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 17, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, with Rev. Rakshaganathan Selvaraj officiating. Visitation will be 5 – 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 16, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30.
Eleanor was born in Calumet City, Illinois, to Frank and Cecelia Echterling. She married H.W. Walker on June 30, 1945. They lived in Indiana for two years before moving to Waco. She retired from the Masonic Grand Lodge in 1986. Eleanor enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and watching figure skating. She was devout in faith, family, and her church. Her feistiness and quick wit will be greatly missed.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, H.W., son, Rodney Walker; grandsons, Michael Walker and Jason Walker; four brothers and one sister.
Eleanor is survived by sons Michael Walker, Mark Walker and wife Jean, Kenneth Walker and wife Cindy; daughters Connie Hamilton and husband Rodney, Marian Hoaglan and husband Tim, Theresa Feller and husband Jeff; daughter-in-law Debbie Walker; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
