Edna McDaniels

Edna McGuire McDaniels, 64, of Waco, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015, in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, at the funeral home.
Edna was born May 7, 1951, to George and Rosie McGuire. She retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service, as a personnel sergeant. Edna also worked at Midway Independent School District for 10 years. She was a member of Park Lake Church of Christ and New Road Church of Christ. Edna was a survivor of breast cancer and lung cancer.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosie McGuire; and a sister, Georgie McGuire.
Edna is survived by her children, Wayne McDaniels and wife Jennifer, LeAndra McDaniels, and Georgina Moss-Dunn and husband Christopher; her sisters Marilyn LaStrape and Linnie Gilbert; brothers Bennie McGuire, David McGuire, and George Junior McGuire and wife Arnetta; grandchildren Martelle Hill and Sara McDaniels; aunt Lucille Crayton; niece Regina Hall; and numerous nephews, and cousins.
