Drenda Lynn Lebkowsky

Drenda Lynn Lebkowsky passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be Friday, June 28 at 10:00 AM at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco, Texas. Burial will follow at the Axtell Cemetery in Axtell, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Drenda was born February 22, 1957, to Leslie Earl and Pauline Paul McClain in Waco, Texas. She grew up in Axtell, Texas and was a proud graduate of Axtell High School. Drenda met the love of her life, William “Bill” Lebkowsky, and they married on June 20, 1975.

Known as Mama and Granny to many, she taught her family the value of God, love and hard work.  Drenda was a fantastic quilter, seamstress and Do-It-Yourselfer. You could find her at her sewing machine, quilting frame or tearing down and rebuilding a wall at any time you would stop by. She also loved crafts, horseback riding, trail rides, camping and dogs. One of her greatest joys was playing BINGO with her grandkids.

Drenda is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Evelyn and William Lebkowsky, her son, William Earnest “Little Willie” Lebkowsky, and her nephew Kevin.  She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Lebkowsky, her daughter, Amy Leining and husband Harry, her sons John Lebkowsky, and Charles Lebkowsky and wife Jennifer, her sisters Dianne Epps and Husband Danny, Gail Souders and husband Tim, and Paula Dunlap. She also leaves behind to carry on her legacy her grandchildren, Kirstin Thompson (Kenny), Kyla Thompson (Angel), Sydney Leining, Abigail Lebkowsky, Cade Collins, Aubree Lebkowsky, Kendra Leining, Scotty Kay Lebkowsky., as well as her great grandchildren, Noah Smith, and Nova Smith, and many nieces and nephews.  And we cannot forget her precious dog, Ginger.
