Doyle White, 84, of Riesel, Texas went to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer on Thursday March 1, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am Monday March 5, 2018 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr. Waco. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service starting at 9am.
Doyle was born Sept., 16, 1933 in Coleman, OK to George and Effie White., the 4th child of ten. He grew up in Coleman, OK. Doyle held several jobs before finding his calling working for Dr. Pepper. He was employed in Dallas, Texas where he met Lita. They married in 1972 prior to relocating to Waco, Texas where he retired from Dr. Pepper after 46 years of service. Doyle was an avid Riesel Lions Club member for many years. Everyone could always expect a big smile and get a Dr. Pepper from him at the Riesel Fair. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing golf in his spare time as well as spending time with his family. He also served proudly on the Hallsburg water board for a number of years. He was a father to 7 children and will always be remembered as an honest man with an infectious smile who never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, and daughter.
Doyle is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lita; daughters, Diane and husband Leonard, Theresa, Donna and husband Joe; sons, Jimmy and wife Kristen, Billy and wife Pam; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his two brothers and seven sisters.
