Doyle Dee Buchanan, 92, a long-time resident of Waco and Robinson, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Waco Memorial Park with Pastor David Cozart officiating. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Pecan Grove Funeral Home.
Doyle was born June 7, 1924 to Oliver and Mary Lou Buchanan in Whitney. He served in the Army and fought in World War II. He married Martha Louise Holder on October 14, 1953. He retired from Owens Illinois after 31 years of employment there. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Louise, his parents, his brothers: Shelby Buchanan, Winfred Buchanan, Robert Adcock, Jerry Adcock, and a sister Veda Childress.
Survivors include his daughter Kathryn Hall, grandchildren: Lori and Buck Alambar, Michael Hall, Kristie and Mickey Vasquez, 11 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
