Doyle A. Black, 57, of Axtell, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 15, at Greater Waco Baptist Church, 912 Loop 340, Waco, with Pastor Gerald McKelroy officiating. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Drive, Waco.
Doyle was born October 13, 1958, to Clyde and Colleen Black. He graduated from Axtell High School. Doyle was a member of Greater Waco Baptist Church. He worked at Goodwill and Hollywood Theater in Waco and participated in Special Olympics for several years. Doyle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dolly and Louise Lueck Black, and Buster and Mable Puryear.
Doyle is survived by his parents, Clyde and Colleen Black; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doyle’s name to Greater Waco Baptist Church.
