Dot Barton, 98, of Waco passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at Lone Oak Cemetery near Blooming Grove, TX. No visitation is planned. Dot was born Nov. 14, 1915 in Lone Oak to Sam and Kate Barton. In her young years while living on the farm she had a horse named “Dandy” whom she loved dearly. During her early years she lived in Blooming Grove, Corsicana and then Waco where she worked at Graham Embroidery for 35 years and retired from there. Dot enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.
Preceded in death by parents; three brothers; Everette, Stell and Vaughan Barton.
She is survived by sister, Sammy Jean Thompson and nephew, Paul W. Thompson.
