Dorothy Walker

Dorothy Ellen Walker, 89, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014. The family held a private burial at an earlier date.
Dorothy was born March 1, 1925, in Temple, to Robert and Katie White. She was married to Cecil Walker, who preceded her in death. Dorothy worked for Waco Independent School District as the Director of Child Accounting for 30 years, retiring in 1995. After retirement, she served on the Beverly Hills City Council. Dorothy was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church and served on several committees at the church. She served as PTA President at University High School and Meadowbrook Elementary School, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Walker; and her son-in-law, Joe Mitcham.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Carol Mitcham and Natalie Walker; sisters Wanda Orand and husband W.B., and Joyce Chandler; grandchildren, Jeff Smith, Rebecca Money, Katie Mitcham, Matt Moran and wife Nikki, and Daniel Moran; great-grandchildren, Amaya Money, Nathaniel Moran, and Brooke; and son-in-law, Larry Moran.
